The order processing is crucial for ensuring efficient and error-free order fulfilment. It involves receiving, placing, tracking, and fulfilling customer orders, from the point of order placement to delivery. The reliability and accuracy of order processing workflow are essential for ensuring customer satisfaction and optimising operational efficiency.
Order processing workflow within menumiz™ encompasses THREE (3) main steps:
This involves the conventional method of taking orders verbally by the staff, either at the table side or at the counter, as well as QR code-based order management, which may require approval from cashier staff.
Retrieving QR code based Orders
After placing a QR code based order, cashier can retrieve existing orders and approve them or rely on auto order placement which sends orders to the kitchen automatically after a grace period.
This section provides an overview of orders that have already been placed and are in the system, history of last 72 hours orders as well as records of cancelled orders. It also allows users to configure the system settings according to their specific needs, such as streamlining the ordering process with either manual or automated verification by waitstaff.
NOTE: To customize the menumiz™ ePOS system settings for your business’s specific needs, you can streamline the ordering process. For instance, to minimize the need for manual order verification by waitstaff, activate the ‘Load Control’ feature within the Order Management settings. This feature allows for automated order retrieval and can significantly enhance order processing efficiency, particularly during busy periods.
